Does Soggy™ make anything other than Spindek™?
Yes. Soggy™ also offers a growing range of 'regular' surfing products such as surfboards, board bags, leashes (leg ropes), regular deck grip, clothing and sunnies (sunglasses). These are all designed to the highest standards and backed by the Soggy™ Guarantee. How is having two Spindek™s on my board better than having one?

Would the disc turn even when I didn't want it to?

Is it heavier than normal deck grip?
The complete Spindek™ unit is about 200 grams heavier than normal deck grip (about the weight of a bag of chips/crisps).
I'm 16 and into aerial and freestyle surfing, will Spindek™ help?

What sort of grip is on Spindek™?
Spindek™ uses premium quality EVA foam rubber custom cut to ensure high comfort and grip from any access angle (so your grip performs at any angle of the 360 degree deck rotation).
I am 40+ mal rider and can't move the board like I used to. Is Spindek™ for me?
Yes. When using Spindek™ your feet remain in the same position (the maximum power angle) giving you better balance, allowing you to manoeuvre the board with ease.
I am a goofy footer, should I have the Spindek™ on my front foot or back foot?
It is not really a case of goofy footer = Spindek™ rear mount, natural footer = front mount. Using the SLF technique it is more a case of what you feel comfortable with (although most surfers have tended to prefer to mount the Spindek™ under their more dominant foot).
My stick is only 5ft 10'. Will a Spindek™ fit on my board?
Yes. Spindek™ has a disk diameter of 30cm (1ft), but is tapered at the front and rear to allow rear mounting on small boards while still allowing the contact of your whole foot. Very narrow boards can still be rear mounted. One of the features of Spindek™ is that the housing is flexible enough to contour to the shape of almost any board whilst still allowing the inner disc to rotate.
Can I stop Spindek™ from rotating?
Spindek™ turns when you want it to and how much you want it to. Spindek™ also comes with a locking mechanism (Spin Lock) that will prevent the Rotating Traction Surface (RTS) from rotating if you want to use it as regular grip.
How does Spindek™ stick to my board?

What are the re-stick kits for?
One of the features of Spindek™ is the shape of the housing. Out of the pack, it is bent up slightly around the edge allowing you to position it anywhere on the board before you are comfortable with the spot where you think it should be stuck down. However not everyone gets it in the right position the first time or they just want to try it under their other foot. The re-stick kits allows you to re-use your existing Spindek™. Note: We do not recommend you re-stick the unit to your board without a re-stick kit, as it will not hold.
Why do you sell the Spindek™ inserts as a separate item? Do they come out?
The inserts are sold separately to allow you to change the colours and designs of your Spindek™. Spindek™ has been thoroughly tested in surf up to 20 feet and the housing has been specially designed to ensure the disc does not come out, unless you want it to. That's not to say that a Spindek™ Pad will never come out (waves can do some pretty wild things), but if it did it would float and could easily be reinserted. There have been cases of boards snapping in half with the only thing holding it together being the Spindek™.

How quickly will Spindek™ wear out?
Spindek™ is made from specially constructed engineering plastics to obtain the highest performance with the lowest weight, friction and wear. Spindek™ is self cleaning, so even if you fill it up with salt, sand, or other crud, it will clean itself out in the water.
Does Spindek™ have moving parts that will rust and break?
No. A great deal of effort has gone into developing the simplest possible Spindek™ design to deliver the maximum performance. Spindek™ has the minimum of moving parts (basically one) and no complicated bearings, rollers, pullies, chains, etc. Spindek™s self lubricating plastic surfaces ensure that it delivers maximum performance for the life of the Spindek™.
Can I change deck colours and designs?
Yes. It only takes a few seconds to swap a deck pad for another design, colour combination or deck grip pattern.
Can I get Spindek™ from my local Surf Shop?
Maybe. Spindek™ is stocked in many leading surf stores. However, the planet is a big place and if Spindek™ is not available in your local area then grab it online.
